Info:

The most forested of Croatian islands, Mljet is nestled in the Adriatic Sea on the south of Croatia between Dubrovnik, Korcula Island and the Peljesac Peninsula, thus easily accessible. This lush Mediterranean island is home to the namesake national park, protecting centuries old pine forests, spectacular saltwater lakes and the Benedictine monastery and Church of St. Mary on a small islet in the middle of the larger of the islands’ lakes. Walking or biking around the lakes offers particularly scenic views, while those looking for the perfect beach day will head to Saplunara beach.

Visit:

  • Take in the green scenery of the island and visit the 12th century Benedictine monastery
