Viking Cruises Sails into Rovinj For The First Time

Renowned luxury cruise line, Viking Cruises sailed into the Adriatic port of Rovinj, Croatia this weekend. The picture postcard coastal city welcomed Viking Star on Saturday, an all-veranda ship that takes just 930 guests.

Passengers were able to enjoy panoramic views of the historic old town of Rovinj as they sailed in on Saturday. Adriatic DMC's operations team was on the ground to handle shore excursions for Viking's passengers. While the luxury ocean cruise company has been calling in Croatian ports for many years, this is the first time a vessel has docked in Rovinj.

Viking Star's passengers were able to choose from a host of shore excursions that covered culture and history, gastronomy, and adventure including visiting Brijuni National Park, truffle hunting in Motovun, and a guided tour of Pula's magnificent Roman amphitheater.
