Viking Cruises Drops Anchor on Korcula Island

Viking Cruises has visited Korcula Island with one of its vessels for the first time

Adriatic DMC was delighted to be a part of Viking Cruises' first arrival on the beautiful island of Korcula on Croatia's Adriatic Coast recently.

While the renowned ocean cruise company has been calling in Croatian ports for years, Korcula wasn't a previously a port of call. On its inaugural visit, Viking Sea docked in the historic town of Korcula, known as the birthplace of Marko Polo. Adriatic DMC handled ground operations for the vessel, delivering shore excursions for its passengers on board.

Managing director, Srdjan Kristic said, "Korcula is without doubt, one of Croatia and Europe's top islands. Its picturesque landcapes, rich history and magnificent architecture entice travelers from all over the world, so Viking Cruises adding the port to its itinerary is a smart choice.

Passengers were able to choose between a host of shore excursions including: Korcula In Depth, Winemakers & Seafarers and Eko Skoj Gastro Experience.

"Viking Sea's passengers were able to explore some of Korcula's top sights, enjoy its world-class cuisine and learn about its fascinating past on our shore excursions. We hope to welcome their vessels to the island next year too."
