Regent Porto Montenegro receives the prestigious Green Key International certification

Regent Porto Montenegro has received the prestigious Green Key International certification, the leading standard for excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operations within the tourism industry.

The Green Key certification is awarded to businesses that adhere to the strict environmental criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education.

By receiving this certification, the hotel has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining high environmental standards in the domain of environmental care (water saving, energy efficiency, waste management, cleaning, etc.), sustainability, and education.

Guests who choose to stay at Green Key establishments can be assured that they are making a positive difference in the environment.

General Manager of Regent Porto Montenegro, Kai Dieckmann, expressed his satisfaction at receiving the Green Key certificate and highlighted the hotel's commitment to creating sustainable practices, "We take pride in our green footprint and constantly strive for sustainable practices while ensuring the well-being of our staff and the local community we are proud to belong to. In doing so, we not only have a positive impact on the environment but contribute to creating a better world for current and future generations".

The Green Key certificate is awarded to hotels that adhere to strict environmental criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education. Currently, more than 3,200 catering establishments in 60 countries are categorized with the Green Key label, which is supported by the World Tourism Organization, while the criteria for hotels are verified by the Global Council for Sustainable Tourism.
