Montenegro Ports Reopen to Cruise Ships

Montenegro's Government announces ports open to cruise vessels from April 10

The Montenegrin government has announced that its Adriatic ports are open to international cruise ships, effective April 10, 2021. The news was delivered at a press conference held by the Ministry of Health and Public Health Institute on Sunday April 9.

The announcement comes as part of a wider relaxing of Covid-19 related measures in Montenegro. Foreign tourists are able to enter the country with:

  • a negataive PCR test no older than 72 hours from their arrival in Montenegro

  • a positive Anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody blood test no older than 30 days

  • proof of  a second dose vaccination against Covid-19 at least seven days prior to arrival in Montenegro.

The country's most frequented Adriatic port is the historic UNESCO protected city of Kotor which welcomed dozens of international cruise ships in 2019.
