Hotel News: Croatia’s Hot Properties

Discover Croatia’s latest hotel openings and renovations, including Hvar, Dubrovnik, Istria and Kvarner, with new luxury, branded and repositioned properties through 2026.

Croatia’s expanding hotel portfolio is giving tour operators new opportunities to refresh and upgrade land tour programmes with newly opened and upcoming properties across key destinations.

Recent launches and scheduled openings for 2026 allow operators to offer clients contemporary hotels, international brands and newly repositioned landmarks; all while keeping proven itineraries intact.

Recent additions include The Isolano, Cres, Croatia’s first Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. This new opening allows tour operators to introduce a premium, branded option in the northern Adriatic, ideal for clients seeking quieter islands combined with high service standards.

On Hvar, Suncani Hvar Hotels continues to invest in its portfolio with the complete renovation and repositioning of Hotel Sirena, scheduled to reopen in 2026. Set in a pine forest near Hvar town, the renewed Hotel Sirena will offer a contemporary, design-led hotel option well suited to active travellers and guests seeking a relaxed island stay close to the historic centre. The reopening enables tour operators to refresh accommodation offerings on one of Croatia’s most popular islands while maintaining established Hvar-based itineraries.

In Dubrovnik, recent renovations are strengthening accommodation options in one of the country’s most in-demand destinations. In Lapad, the historic Hotel Sumratin has reopened following a comprehensive renovation, offering a refreshed five-star base well suited to leisure and touring programmes. Meanwhile, the iconic Villa Dubrovnik has completed an extensive refurbishment, reaffirming its position as one of the city’s leading luxury boutique hotels overlooking the Old Town and Adriatic Sea.

Further extending Dubrovnik’s international hotel presence, Hilton is expanding its footprint in the region. The existing Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik anchors internationally branded accommodation in the city, while a new Hilton Lopud Beach Resort & Spa, slated to open in 2027 - on Lopud Island - will introduce Hilton’s flagship resort hospitality to the Elaphiti Islands after extensive renovations.

Looking ahead to 2026, several important openings will further strengthen programme design options. In Istria, the Jadran Heritage Hotel 5* in Porec will offer a high-end waterfront base well suited to cultural, gastronomic and incentive travel. In the Kvarner region, the upcoming Sealeven Hotel & Residences (Destination by Hyatt) in Icici and the Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Kvarner Bay will provide new internationally branded accommodation for northern Adriatic itineraries.

In Rijeka, the historic Hotel Continental, reopening in 2026 as part of Accor’s Handwritten Collection, will offer a refreshed city hotel option for tours combining Kvarner, Istria and inland Croatia.

Together, these new and upcoming properties allow tour operators to present updated accommodation choices, stronger brand recognition and higher-value programme options, reinforcing Croatia’s appeal to repeat visitors and first-time clients alike.
