Entry Requirements for Croatia 15 August - 31 August 2021

Considering traveling to Croatia for your summer vacation? We provide a rundown of the latest entry requirements for tourists wishing to visit over the next three weeks (15 August to 31 August 2021), as provided by the Croatian National Tourist Board*.

UK, Russia and Cyprus

Perhaps the most signifacnt development in entry criteria as of the 26 July applies to UK, Russian and Cypriot citizens who must provide evidence of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test performed in their home country (no more than 72 hours before arrival at the border), regardless of whether they have been vaccinated and/or have recovered from Covid-19.

Some things to note

Children under the age of 12 are exempt from providing test results should their parent or guardian fulfil the requirements. All tests taken and used as supporting evidence of a positive or negative result must be recognized by the European Union. Visitors arriving from outside the EU need to show evidence that they have paid for accommodation (hotel, camp site, private rental, boat etc.) or that they own property in Croatia.

Entry requirements for EU citizens

EU citizens are required to fulfil and evidence one of the following criteria to vacation in Croatia:

  • EU Digital COVID Certificate

  • A negative PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before arrival at the border) or antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before arrival

  • Proof of recovery from Covid-19 more than 11 days and less than 270 days ago

  • Vaccination certificate confirming receipt of second dose of COVID-19 vaccine used in EU member states (Astrazeneca, Gambelaya, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinopharm)

  • Vaccination certificate confirming receipt of the first dose of Gamaleya, Moderna or Pfizer (when travelling between the 22nd and 42nd day since receipt)

  • Vaccination certificate confirming receipt of the first dose of AstraZeneca (when travelling between the 22nd and 84th day since receipt).

  • Vaccination certificate confirming receipt of a single dose of Janssen or Johnson & Johnson more than 14 days before arrival

  • Proof of recovery from Covid-19 and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 9 months ago.

  • Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result

Entry requirements for non-EU citizens

Non-EU citizens are required to fulfil and evidence one of the following criteria to vacation in Croatia:

  • A negative PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before arrival at the border) or antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before arrival

  • A vaccination certificate showing final dose taken more than 14 days ago

  • Proof of recovery from Covid-19 more than 11 days and less than 270 days ago

  • Proof of recovery from Covid-19 and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 9 months ago.

  • Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result
