Adriatic DMC Welcomes Viking Mars to Dubrovnik on Maiden Voyage

Renowned luxury cruise company Viking Cruises chooses Dubrovnik as embarkation port for Viking Mars’ maiden voyage

Adriatic DMC welcomed Viking Cruises’ newest vessel to the port of Dubrovnik this morning ahead of its maiden voyage to Malta.

The brand-new all-veranda ocean cruise liner takes just 930 guests which means it can dock where other ships can’t thanks to its smaller size.

The leading regional DMC handled the arrival of two charter flights from Basel into Dubrovnik Airport just after 9am. Passengers were greeted by a team of Adriatic DMC licensed tour guides and ground staff who tagged their luggage and helped them board coaches to the Port.

Upon arrival to the port, passengers conducted a quick health check procedure and were able to check in at specially designated Viking Cruises’ desks within the port terminal building. After clearing security, passengers were then able to easily board Viking Mars which was conveniently docked in front of the terminal building.

Srdjan Kristic, managing director at Adriatic DMC said: “From the operations team at the airport, to our professional licensed guides, coach drivers and check-in team, delivering an efficient, professional and personable service to Viking was our priority today.

“The team has delivered across the board and I’m pleased to say that all 360 passengers boarded Viking Mars excited about their journey ahead following a hassle-free arrival in Dubrovnik.”

Viking Mars will sail on to Sicily and Malta.
