Adriatic DMC Welcomes First Danube River Cruise Ship of 2022

Adriatic DMC kicks off 2022 cruise season in Croatian Danube ports

Leading regional destination management company Adriatic DMC welcomed its first river cruise ship of 2022 on Thursday March 24.

APT's Travelmarvel Vega sailed into the Croatian Danube port of Vukovar with over 90 passengers onboard. Passengers explored the city on a shore excursion delivered by Adriatic DMC.

Slavonia operations manager, Tena Magdic, said: “Passengers had a great time learning about Vukovar's fascinating history exploring the city's museum in the beautiful Dvorac Eltz on a guided walking tour. Welcoming APT's ship to Vukovar on its Danube journey so early in the season is significant for this tourism segment in Croatia.

“Vukovar offer tourists the chance to experience continental Croatia with ease from a Danube River cruise which is why we're seeing its popularity increase as a port. Passengers can visit award-winning wineries, tour fantastic museums and indulge in fantastic fresh local food at traditional farms.

Travelmarvel Vega continued on from Vukovar to Serbia's capital city, Belgrade.

“We hope we'll see more river cruise companies adding Croatia's Danube ports to their itineraries in 2023.”

Adriatic DMC's shore excursion program provides tourists to Vukovar and Ilok with unforgettable experiences that are both authentic and immersive. For more information, get in touch with the friendly and professional team.
