Adriatic DMC Welcomes 2026 With Viking Cruises and Windstar Cruises

In a company first, two of our Adriatic ports welcomed vessels on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Windstar Cruises’ Star Legend ship sailed in to the Dubrovnik ahead of the biggest party of the year while Viking Cruises’ Saturn docked in Kotor, Montenegro on New Year’s Day, before continuing to Dubrovnik.

Our operations team in Middle Dalmatia was kept busy with both Star Legend and Saturn continuing their journeys north on to Zadar.

In addition to a range of shore excursions in the Dubrovnik region, Star Legend’s passengers were able to take advantage of a specially organized shuttle service to and from the historic Old Town to take advantage of the New Year’s Eve program including an open-air concert and firework display, often listed as one of the best countdown celebrations in Europe.

Adriatic DMC’s team of shore excursion specialists put together programs in each port that offered travelers the chance to experience authentic local culture and traditions, indulge in top gastronomy or visit beautiful natural landscapes.

These brilliant excursions led by our professional licensed guides showcased each region’s beauty and history. From walking tours of UNESCO cities and award-winning vineyards, to historic water mills, salt pans and traditional silk production, renowned oyster farms and rural estates – the opportunity to experience local culture was plentiful. For the outdoor lovers, buggy safaris through forests, Krka National Park, or climbing Dubrovnik’s city walls were too good to resist.
