Beginning of March, Adriatic DMC attended the 5th Annual MICE Arabia & Luxury Travel Congress held in Dubai, UAE. The two-day congress offered keynotes, trend insights, and networking opportunities for suppliers from all corners of the World interested in the Middle East MICE and luxury travel market. World Travel Organization predicted that in the next twenty years the Middle East outbound tourism would reach a spending capacity of an estimated $20 billion, making it an important driving force in the MICE and luxury travel segments globally. Further solidifying this markets importance for Europe is the fact that UAE citizens do not need a visa to enter any Schengen countries.
“As we looked forward to researching new markets to develop partnerships, UAE stood out as it has not only solid air connections to the Balkan region and no entry restrictions, but is looking for the type of creative, luxury MICE product that we can supply,” said Perisa Boko, Director of Sales and Marketing, Adriatic DMC. “It was our first time at the MICE Arabia & Luxury Travel Congress, and our objectives were to test the market’s knowledge and interest in our region, and also to make some initial connections with established players on the market.”
The two-day event is structured into pre-arranged meetings, providing travel suppliers and buyers with the opportunity to present their offers and ask questions in a one-on-one setting. As part of the company’s international MICE and luxury travel strategy, Adriatic DMC had over 20 successful meetings during the 5th Annual MICE Arabia & Luxury Travel Congress and is now looking forward to fostering the new relationships made during the event.
